PrC concept: Tormented Soul

-Eä-

First Post
Greetings!

I am currently working on a prestige class that is for characters who are drawn to evil, and cannot turn back from that road. They are tormented by it and want to become free from the enslavement of evil.

I am not sure whether this would be an epic prestige class or not, and I think that will depend much on the ideas I get.

Here are some names of abilities I want to include, so that you get the theme a bit more clearly:

My mind is wrapped in winds of enslavement

This is the coldest hell!

So :):):):)ing dead (sorry about the language, but it fits in the context)

Rape my soul with a demoniacal smile

Cleanse me...

Ya know, those ability names sound like something out of a bad heavy metal song.

... ANYway, what is it about this PrC that makes it necessary to be epic? Lots of people could fall to the temptation of evil, no matter what level they are. Tthere are also lots of "fallen champion" PrCs out there already, catering for both the melee types (blackguard) and magic-users (maho-tsukai).

Actually, it's inspired by a black metal song and a group whose individuals I know...so you are quite correct. (Although I do not agree that it's bad black metal.

There is no need for the PrC to be epic, but if the suggestions and ideas I get are on that power level, I will make it epic.

Dragon #302 has a cool PrC called The Tainted.

It's a character who has a fiend sharing their soul, constantly tempting them towards evil with the promises of power.

It's more bookkeeping than most PrC's with the "fiend point" system, but it's worth looking into for reference purposes.

Those ability names are a bit long. Just out of curiosity- what black metal band?
