Having an arguement with players about Prestige Class requirements...

As an example...

A class with a +5 base attack bonus as a requirement.


Does a straight fighter have to wait till level 6 to take the class, or can he take the PRC at 5th if the PRC grants a +1 bab?

But if all the races came from one source it would be interesting. You could have elves Vs Nazis. Humans Vs Nazis. Any Race Vs Nazis. Plus, Nazis always lose. Great idea for a game after a TPK to make the players feel better...

He must wait until 6th. To take a PrC, you must meat all of the requirements before gaining one level in it. When leveling, the first thing you do is select what class to level in. If you have a bab of +5 and need +6 to gain a level in PrC A, you can't select PrC A to gain a level in it.

The first thing you do when you gain a level is choose a class (pg145 PHB) so one needs all the prerequites before they choose the class.

Hmm, I don't know how THIS happened...Forum Glitch? There was something about an Strange Evolution idea where Humans were Dire Elves, and neanerthals were dire humans. It was in the RPG discussions forum...WIERD.
