PrC

Just an assumption:

The server already requires CEP and a HAK, so the PrCC over-complicates things. PrCC, while not so new, is foriegn to these boards. First I've seen it mentioned here.

It's been mentionned before, a long time ago.
I've read somewhere it doesn't work so well on a PW. Anyone knows of PW where it's being used?

I don't see why, it has an auto installer so windows users can add it easily (and I suppose linux and osx users can always copy the updated NWN windows install). The only logic reason I can think at this time for not installing it is because you are waiting for the imminient releae of NWN 1.64 (that will trigger the release of CEP 1.5 and PrC 2.2)

Anyone knows of PW where it's being used?
Yes

Just wondering, is there any special reason why the NWN server doesn't uses the PrC?

It would be awesome... ! may be worth pointing it out to Morrus unless he's already seen it.

On a side note I would "HIGHLY" recommend this Hak to anyone... it makes some aspects of the game far closer to the PnP style of play such as adding a Jump skill for instance, some of the feats from PHb that didnt make it to the game, also feats from vile darkness and exalted deeds.. Heaps and a do mean HEAPS of prestige classes from the various source and splat books... it even adds a couple of templates as prestige classes such as Lich...so a high level evil wizard can finally make his phylectery and become a true undead.

Some spells are tweaked like the bigbys spells that caused so much who-har on the bioware forums.. other spells are added like Read Magic for example.

Also all the Craft feats (rod, Staff, Arms and Armour etc...) have been added so you can make items and recpies of items you find (usual gold and xp costs).

It really is an awesome Hak and a great compliment to CEP.

Did I mention the Samurai base class was been added also? :)

Hmmm I thought it was in an article in one of Bioware's Wednesday, but I can't find it again... Nevermind what I said then. ;)
And thanks for that list Neo.

I have used the PrC on the last couple of solo modules I played and it worked well. I wanted to go Eldritch Knight, but I abandoned that idea, but still took some of the extra spell (namely Serpent Sigh).

As an Epic spellcaster on PoA, I'd love to try the Epic Spell system too.
I'm not voting against it, just saying to be careful not to cause more trouble. ;)

Ive been having great fun with it, and I like that you can update the single player game and NWN expansions with it so you can make use of everything it adds in the normal campaign too...

I doubt the inclusion of PRC would cause uch in the way of problems as almost its entire content is about characters and their advancement which is very unlikely to be a lag factor at any rate and would add a whole heap of individualisation to characters. Of course it may conflict with some of the scripts or alterations that have been made to the module but it handily tells you if it cannot update a module when you try so it would be clear if it works or not prior to becoming an issue in play.

Oh, I should add, I have the PrCC hak, and I love it. IMO, it's worth it for the StormLord alone. If Morrus added it, I'd try to be the first.

But you can limit the 'customer base' with too many haks. And although I like it, it can be a little buggy. I can see it confusing scripts. It really is meant for single-play.

If Morrus fears alienating the user base he can make a poll to know for sure what the user base thinks. Something in the lines of:

Do you think adding the PrC hak would be benefitial to Enworld NWN PW?
a) Yes
b) No
c) Don't know
d) PrC what?

And although I like it, it can be a little buggy.
If you tell them about a bug they tend to squash it pretty quickly, in the next release (2.2) most of the reported bugs are fixed (chances are, if it isn't fixed it is due to biowares hardcoding) and also adds a ton of new content (all in a nice 2 Mbytes installer) :)
