PrC's and type changes

what happens when you take a prestige class that results in a type change, and then take another one that results in another change?

for example:

Johnny the Druid takes the Shifter PrC. he gains 10 levels in it and becomes type Shapechanger.

Johnny then takes Elemental Savant [Fire] and gains 10 levels in that. he then, according to the PrC should become type Elemental [Fire].

is he type Shapechanger?
is he type Elemental [Fire]?
is he type Shapechanger [Fire]?

or none of the above?

No idea. Maybe both? (Elemental [Fire] Shapechanger?)

There is precendent for having two types (look at the monsters in the Epic Level handbook ... I know there are a few Undead Outsiders in there)
