What about named Ral Partha miniatures? I don't know if there were any, but they'd have a crack at being called iconic, I'd think.

Interestingly enough, Fonkin Hoddypeaks and Gleep Wurp the Eyebiter may be the least well known characters to (sort of) make the transition from 1st to 3rd edition - both came up in the Hero Builder's Guidebook as examples of bad names for PCs...
