Pre Gen Characters

This is going to be my first GenCon(my first convention ever), and was wondering if I need to bring pre made characters, or will pre gens be provided?
Will we have access to computers to use the builder, or should we bring a laptop?
Some of the games say materials will be provided, does that mean characters as well.
Any advice/help would be appreciated. As I said this is my first convention so I have no idea how everything works.

Any GM that knows what he's doing will have pre-gens unless it's specifically and explicitly an event where you bring your own character or make it at the table. The latter are rare, as chargen takes up a ton of game time, especially when you're likely sharing books and people are unfamiliar with the system.

Thanks for the info. I figured that would be the case, but you know what they say about assuming.
