regarding the B&G silver product, silver usually indicates 25 years, that would be when the forgotten realms campaign setting would have released (2001) so could it be an extra special set of the recent Forgotten Realms books?

They have released many Silver editions. It’s not about 25 years. It’s about the price point & amount of stuff in the box - they do Silver, Gold, and Platinum sets.

I didn't really do as good of a job with this adventure as I would have liked but my group still loved it. Such a fun one.
I’m a little worried about the chase sequence, and probably won’t run that bit as written. It’s wonderfully atmospheric but the mechanics are wonky, and the designer is mum on what should happen if the villain escapes. But other than that it seems awesome.

My issue was that I think I could have let it all breathe a little more than I did, despite having it go over three three-hour sessions. The players really liked San Citlan and wanted to explore all of the spaces a little more than I was prepared for. I definitely intend to bring them back there at some point, probably repurposing something from One-Shot Wonders to fit the setting.

There is an expansion on DMG by the original authors that describes San Citlan in more detail, including a big map of the city.

Well, that's a shame. While some of those mostly classic adventures are just OK, I think others deserve better and could really flourish with a longer treatment. The giant series in particular is so bare bones that it's really ripe for additional detail.
I think with some of them you a in a bit of a Ship of Theseus situation. How much can you change and have it still feel like that classic adventure you played when you were 12? Giants could be revised quite easily and still retain it's original feel, however something like White Plume Mountain and Hidden Shrine rely on nostalgia and don't really stand up in the modern game. Not that they were completely unchanged - I noticed they toned down the "steal the nymph's clothes" encounter in Shrine. But that particular adventure was also changed simply by the removal of it's original context - a real world time speed run (so the players wouldn't have time to stop and think about the lack of logic) with a particular trio of pregens.

I think it's significant that there were more changes in the Infinite Staircase adventures - published when 5e has established it's own fanbase, independent of the nostalgia of the older generations.

Call it a hunch. But there’s likely to be something coming this week. Last year this time, they had the media announce their slate and dropped the Forgotten Realms UA same day. Wouldn’t surprise me if we saw an announcement and a UA sooner than later.
I think it's really possible that it will happen this week, excluding the weekends, Maybe today or tomorrow?
