D&D 5E (2024) Predict WotC's 2026 D&D releases

So with confirmation that Beadle & Grimm's new platinum edition is a new book from WotC, we can really get the speculation going.

Does "pre-orders in June" say anything about release date? Do these platinum editions usually come out at the same time as the book from WotC, or is there a lag? If so, how long?

I don't think adventures ever include elements that are playtested, so we don't likely have any hints from that direction, but have there bene other hints in press releases or interviews?

One assumes it will be the first fully D&D 2024 campaign adventure, but I suppose it could be another anthology.

I am never right about these things, but my gut says slip case Dark Sun setting plus adventure like Spelljammer.

My memory says there's a range from immediate to a couple months delay.

The combo setting/adventures (Strix for example) did get playtesting. Dark Sun could be a combo product or a two book product for example

There is usually a considerable lag between the regular release and the B&G release - months. Beadle & Grimm pre-orders usually open at the same time as the regular pre-order, but they ship much later.

I would guess Dark Sun comes out in the fall/winter, like Forgotten Realms did, so that it can be a big holiday season purchase for folks.

The B&G release is more likely to be a campaign adventure, I think. Either a Myth Drannor or Thay adventure feels likely to me.
