It seems to have a bigger mindshare in the UK, but in the US, it's mostly disappeared off of shelves, in favor of other, mostly better kids' games. (Although our kid board games still tend to be pretty terrible, like Candyland, compared to the UK's Labyrinth, which my kids still pull out at the holidays.)
It means they don't have anything to announce yet.

it's one of those kinda holidays today. the lack of announcement on a holiday Monday isn't a big deal

Yes, it was late 2024 during their D&D Direct. Like November or early December.
