Preface to Tearing of the Weave?

First Post
I am going to do a D&D campaign for some teenage new players (and more experienced pre-teen players). I decided that I am going to do the Tearing of the Weave series because I want to introduce FR (since it will be the new Living RPGA setting). I need a mod before Tearing to start them out. I was going to use The Sunless Citadel until one of my players told me that he had gotten in for Xmas and read it already (grrr ... I have been looking for an opportunity to run that mod ever since I prepped for a campaign that fell apart).
I am very new to FR myself and not a writer so I am looking for a module or two that will take the group from fist level to third or fourth (I could see travel to Cormyr taking them from third to fourth). I know that there are no 3.5 Dungeon or WoTC adventures that are low level. I guess I am deciding now between converting an earlier addition mod (all suggestions welcome), putting together something from Mysteries of Moonsea or setting a generic mod in FR (please suggest a 3.5 mod and a place). I have access to all Dungeons.
thanks,
Jim

You could try Shattered Gates of Slaughtergarde. I believe WOTC published it earlier this year.

It takes characters from level 1-6, which will set them up well for Cormyr-Shadowdale-Anauroch. I would recommend setting it in either the Vilhon Reach, Dragonreach, or the heartlands west of Cormyr.

The Raiders of Galath's Roost (Dungeon 87) is a Forgotten Realms adventure that takes place in Mistledale. It is for character levels 1-4 and it will easily take the party from 1st level to 3rd level. Throw in some more encounters of your own and some more random encounters and you can make it go to 4th level without investing too much work on doing up side quests.

It is a 3.0 adventure but at this low level, any oddities between 3.0 and 3.5 are minimal so it should be easy to modify to 3.5.

The beauty of this adventure is the party will already be familiar with (and have a reason to dislike) the Zhentarium and certain other factions by the time you start the Tearing of the Weave trilogy.

I'm not terribly familiar with the Tearing of the Weave arc, but on the subject of The Raiders of Galath's Roost,, there was an eventual sequel published to it that flowed very nicely, if I remember correctly. I don't know how well it'd tie into the Tearing adventuring, but it may be worth looking into. The sequel is Woe to Mistledale, and it appeared in Dungeon 100.
