Cute but dangerous
From the poll about official 3e adventures and the hint at Dungeon Magazines' adventures being better, I got the idea to have my "Grimtina's Mercs" crew, which has been dormant for a while, attempt to play (almost) all of them. I'll likely leave out the few I already played in or ran before.
However, it would require lots of PCs, so we'd love to have pregens for this. A lot. I've started dicing up 20 chars (5 players so 4 sets of chars for starters seems about right) just to notice I don't have the time and mind to do it.
If there's someone around who loves thinking up chars, I'd either post the dice results or leave it up to you completely. This will all be in a custom made world and I allow all compatible material, so plenty of options. Players have agreed to even let you continue to level up the chars as they develop in case you want to see how some concept develops but don't have the time to play.
The idea is to have lvl 1 chars, play through several adventures with a set as they level up, then start with the next group at a new lvl 1 adventure. Although a group may do more than one adventure for a level and I'll just up the requirements as needed. But we might also start with 4 groups and 4 adventures... no idea yet. We'll discuss that tomorrow.
I'd post recaps of the sessions, of course.
Grimtina's Mercs is a group of young people (15, 17, 19, 19 and 22) showing different shades of the autism/AD(H)D/ spectrum. All but 1 are fairly experienced with RPGs already, although D&D was new to them (they are used to a German system). We've only played one campaign yet, which was short but fun and ended in an almost TPK. Not a clue how far we'll get in this endeavor of course but if you don't try...
