D&D 5E Prepping for Princes

In my opinion so far, this is a really masterful mini-campaign setting, it gives a DM dozens of ideas, and then leaves up to you, if desired, to modify them to make them fit together in unique ways. And this caters to my style of play anyway, and it's what i did with Lost Mine. One downside is that you have to read the HELL out of the campaign book and make notes, so you're not really saving time per say in the short run, but in the long run you have a more comprehensive arc that fits together, and that is something I'm not really good at and I'm glad to have that arc laid out for me.
I agree. It seems really easy to drop in homebrewed side treks or mini adventures or other ideas and still use what's in the adventure. It is a nice canvass to work with.

I could use some help and advice here. So I'm incorporating the Tomb of the Moving Stones into the main plot, and the Believers as written are just a side note that the Black Earth priest has manipulated to control them. So that needs to come out in the next session. My guys are going to think that the Believers are all evil cultists and that's not true, so I need Larrakh to be clearly the leader. I mean, i guess i DO know what to do, the kid trapped under the rocks spills his guts, and the old man Bargustas tells his tale too, of how old the Believers are, probably 20 years, far older than the Evil Eye incursion. The Bringers of Woe are about to bring hell down on them and this is going to a tough fight for 3 characters. 3rd level. So I'm trying to establish early on that the Air and Earth cults are diametrically opposed and hate each other, and later I'll hint that the Fire and Water cults hate each other.

Ultimately, knowing my players, I expect them to recruit aid from higher level forces to root out this problem, there's no way they'll do this alone level 3 to 15. And i would not expect them to either. Waterdeep, Neverwinter, Silverymoon, they'll call in perks from the Factions, they'll do anything to bolster their ranks and sweep in and destroy the outposts, one way or another.
