Previews?

I know these things are probably a ways off yet, but I thought I’d put it out there to see what everyone here thought.

These are the 4th Ed. Previews I’d like to see. And I’m curious as to when people (presumably more in the know then me) think we’ll see these things.

A Feat; I know we can probably guesstimate from SWSE but I’d still like to see a the real deal.

A Spell:

A Talent:

A Class:

A Monster; (other then the stat card for spined devil)

A Race:

And for that matter, the spined devil was leaked - I don't know if Wizards were expecting it to be leaked that much before Nov 3.

I'd like to see all of your examples.

Ahhh, so the card was leaked. It wasn't meant to be previewed. Yes, it makes sense now.

Interesting.

I think most of the details on these matters will wait for the Wizards Presents books, some will be on those books, and then the "real" flood of information will be lead up to / during D&D Experience.

Hmm... if that's the case I may actually purchase those preview books.

According to everything I've heard the Presents books will be pure fluff and designer commentary, no mechanics at all. I expect to begin seeing real solid bits of mechanics after the Christmas season is over steadily hyping up over the next several months until launch.

Here are some likely candidates from DDM Desert of Desolation. I have RPGized the DDM stats/mechanics.

Blood of Vol Fanatic has a Rage ability that takes effect once he is bloodied:
Rage - When bloodied, Blood of Vol Fanatic does an additional 1d8 melee damage.

The Elf Conjurer has two new ones:
1st level - Kelgore's Fire Bolt (2d6 fire damage; DC 13 save; 1d6 fire damage instead if caster fails to overcome Spell Resistance, no save);
3rd level - Melf's Unicorn Arrow (3d6 damage and push target up to 3 squares)

Note: Kelgore's Fire Bolt does 20 damage in DDM, I can't see it doing more than 2d6 in the RPG game, what with it being a 1st level spell.

Tough to spot any; one example might be the Dwarf Brawler's Bully:
Bully - Push an enemy with fewer hp up to 1 square

We know most of the classes already: Fighter, Wizard, Cleric, Rogue, Barbarian, Warlock, and Warlord are almost certainly in. There are no PC-type Paladins, Bards, Monks, Rangers, or Sorcerers in DoD. There is at least one Druid. If someone has access to the DoD RPG stat cards and can prove any of these wrong, please do.

Yeah, well, take your pick. Plenty in DoD, all of which (save one) will be in the 4e MM.

See Classes above. We have Halflings, Tieflings, Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Shifters, and Drow in DoD. Make of that what you will.

Hrmmmm... There's an assassin. Hard to answer this one without the RPG stat cards for all of the minis.

There is, of course, no guarantee that these things will be in the PHB, but since DoD is the first mass 4e preview, I think we should be able to draw some strong conclusions.

Both of these spells can be found in the 3.5 PHBII. This, of course, doesn't exclude them from being in 4e, but we shouldn't assume that they are based on this "preview."
