Price check on a ring?

If anyone recalls, I mentioned a ring of prestiditigation to keep a bard character's clothes always perfect and clean.

But then, I realized that he might get a tear or rip or arrow hole in them!

So, I thought about adding the mending ability.

Now, if my math is correct, that works out to be 2500 to keep my outfit looking perfect. Does that sound right to you?

Also, if you were DMing this game, would you allow someone to argue for a cheaper than "rules" price, as it really doesn't do anything that effective?

Prestidigitation can be effective indeed. If you can cast the actual spell at will, that's worth something. Mending is worth a bit less, but still not a bad spell. (Our party's wizard used it to repair a Folding Boat that had been damaged by an iceberg.)

Neither spell is particularly useful in combat, but they are useful none-the-less, and I'd charge for them.

If you want to look perfect at all times, get a Hat of Disguise. :)

NO!!! I hate when a PC argues with the DM. All it does is wasted your Gaming time. If he wants a lower price, do it in the game, not with the dm. Have him charm a persom selling the merchandise, or talk him into a lower price, but never just do it for them.

I'd have one of those too. But that's an illusion. The ring means I'm always fine, and no dispelling of magic can change that.
