Pricing: A Diploma and an Apartment

Thanks, Wik, for the input on the housing issue. I'm definitely going to use those guidelines. And the dorm issue will help force the PC out into the real world to look for housing for these two, which means more narrative will develop!

Let's pretend that in my campaign world they need more spiritual/emotional training for reasons that are good and proper to my campaign. Think of it as their version of college or wizard school for a character that's "adding" a level of wizard in the midst of the campaign. What would you charge your PC?

I note you didn't mention levels yet. Pretty much all my PCs would be considered world-class experts in their fields (except when they were level 5 or below.) As such, the only training they can really get is from legendary or mythical figures, and such mentors don't want cash.

No prob. Hope something I say helps.

Oh, and incidentally - I like how you're avoiding the 20 levels in one year trap. That's a good approach, and I kind of want to steal something similar for my next campaign - probably a post-apocalyptic number.

It sort of reminds me of the original conan stories, where there were huge gaps between "adventures".

Yeah. This is the fourth non-combat session we've had, making almost 15 hours worth of game. She soaks up RP and world info like a sponge. Hence her choice to play a bard.
