D&D 5E (2014) Primeval Thule - GM Companion - Optional Rules... what would we like to see?

I would like to see some domains when worshiping the Old Ones.

The most underrated comment by far. DnD has been flirting with Cthulhu since day one, even to the point of reprinting their "Demigods and Deities" when the flirtation became scandalous. The result is a lack of hard rules behind a Cthulhu pantheon. Without any licensing agreement between WotC and the Lovecraft estate there will be no explicit rules for Old Ones Domains. This is definitely something that needs house rules.

That's pretty cool. Certainly a more dangerous version of the wild magic table.

I think, personally, I'll just adapt DCC's tables for something a little more permanent.
Thanks yeah I definitely wanted a more dangerous feel. I think the wild magic table has about 23 beneficial, 8 adverse and 19 neutra/odd entries. My Thule table has approx 11 beneficial, 11 bad, and 25 neutral/odd (if you include the random spell and monster as neutral, depending on what happens).

What does DCC stand for..? I'd like to check it out for more ideas.

I'd like to see a variant magic system that all the classes would use, maybe a dangerous casting option would suffice. An expansion of the ritual casting rules would be cool too as that seems very appropriate to the setting.

Variant spell lists for all the classes would also be awesome, although I'm not sure of the legality of that.

I would love a full out new spell casting mechanic more like a mix of world of darkness sorcerer and call of cathulu...

Actually yeah I would like a "Thule Spellcaster" class. With it's own abilities and dangerous magic aspect built right in. Then I would have 3 subclasses - one cleric-like, one wizard-like and one warlock-like, with their own further abilities and spell lists.

Then you could just ban the PHB wizard, sorcerer, warlock and cleric.

Why are we not working on this right now!?!?!

I feel like the existing spellcasting classes will work just fine in Thule, although some risk tables to roll on would be fun. What missing in 5e is content related to the great old ones. I'd like some content that expands on Nyarlathotep's insidious cult.

Also, more madness tables.
