Generally not much talking on Prison Break on these boards, but I seem to remember there were a few fans around...

What did everyone think of the finale?

Sorry. I just watched the finale tonight. SPOILERS ABOUND.

I thought this season was a bit of a mess, especially once Bellick and Roland bit it. The last few episodoes in particular were snoozefests, as they spent more time on the villains mom and Baldy, rather than keeping the focus on the PCs.

I've always thought this show was more like an RPG than anything on TV, and loved it the whole time.

I was thrilled to see C-Note and Kellerman again for the finale. I always figured they'd be ace in the holes for the writers but I expected them earlier in the season and had pretty much given up hope.

I thought this was a very well done finale, with fitting epilogues for every character. My gf called Michael dying a few years back but I had always imagined that he would wind up alone on a beach 10 years later when some governement agent summoned him back into service. (In times of desperation 10 years from now, don't forget that fake deaths run in his family)

But I am a fan of bittersweet endings in general, so I was very pleased.

Since most series finales suck, this is going to be one of the best ones on my list, and will reflect back on the rest of the series.

Now if only the bad guys had any motive besides money.

Oh well.

I definitely liked the first half of the season more, where they were organizing getting all the cards. That was done really well. They had clear goals, and Micheal got to use his brains.

The later part seemed a little too.... chaotic maybe?
Groups splits, we meet different people, betrayals, people are captured and flee to get captured and flee again. That could have been done a little more straight.

While enjoyable, I agree about the finale being much to chaotic. Still, it was worth watching, and it was nice to see everything get finished up.

However, I am a sucker for happy endings, and I was quite disappointing with Michael's death. It was SO anticlimatic to me. I mean, you survive all this stuff...breaking out of two prisons, having a price on your head and everyone chasing you, having brain surgery to fix your problem...just to dies a few years after your name has been cleared? I have to say the last 5-10 minutes just sucked. LOL.
