Private Messages Functionality?

I've been trying to send private messages to other users, but am sternly reproached that "You do not have permission to access this page." Are PMs restricted to admins and such only?

Welcome to EN World! Please consider becoming a community supporter. A community supporter is somebody who has donated to EN World in order to help cover the costs of very server-intensive, and thus expensive features (in particular, the search feature). The features available only to community supporters are Search, Private Messaging, Custom User Titles and Who's Online. You can also get these features separately.

You get a lot of cool stuff for being a community supporter. Not the least of which is the ability TO CHANGE YOUR TITLE.

I am not a community supporter anymore. This means I do not have this ability. Thus being stuck with "ENnie award winner and NOT Scrappy Do"
