pro vs arrows.......does the caster know how much pro is left?

I was over a friends house and in their gaming group they say the caster can not know the exact amount of points he has left in his "anti arrow pool"....is this bs or do you play this way...I dont-I allow the players to monitor the points themselves, I will keep an eye out just to make sure the player isnt grossly exaggerating his remaining points.

For simplicity's sake we let the players themselves keep track of points left. Not that it matters now, damn wizards running around with permanent everything :\.

As Joker says, for simplicity's sake many groups let the caster track it himself. But by the RAW I don't think there's any way for the caster to know how much protection is left.

it is just one of those areas the game doesn't cover...do people know how many HPs they have left? Pro from arrows? Stone skin? the book just doesn't bring it up at all. So, let them know it is easier

I will join the chorus.

In some respects the game is more interesting if the DM tracks the numbers. But most DMs cannot be bothered with this. Unless the party is very small (1-2 PCs) the DM forcing himself to track all these things is likely to be a significant tactical advantage to the players because of the distraction away from playing the NPCs.
