Hi there!
Just a try to find an answer to a problem, that is bugging me...
Since some time I can't keep my cookies stored on my computer for this (and other) sites.
I'm using Opera 6.05 / 7.0 (it's the same with both).
I have used various preferences, from accapting all cookies from all servers to having them shown and accepting them on a one-by-one basis (in that case, cookies are shown, but don't seem to be placed, since they are gone right after accepting and some sites even say then that I should accept cookies or can't proceed !?).
I can only post on this forum if I don't automatically accept cookies from all servers (if I do after I log in, I'm not logged in, altho the screen "thanks for logging in" shows, but afterwards I'm back to the "you are not logged in" screen), but I have to disallow third party cookies, then I can log in for a session (altho I check the box to have cookies stored for a longer time), but must log in each time I want to write something.
This is weird!
I have looked up Opera help, but couldn't find anything helpful, I got the preferences right, there is something else, which is wrong.
There was something written about servers not placing the cookies, because they only accept internet explorer or netscape navigator, but that can hardly be the case, since the sites worked with Opera before.
I thought about a virus, altho it's very unlikely, and I couldn't find any either.
Anyone got any idea what this might be?
