Problems with time zone

It seems to me that the time zone settings are an hour off. I have to go to GMT -7 (Mountain Time) to get the time on the boards to the correct setting (GMT -6, Central Time).

Is anyone else having problems with this, or is it just me?

Question: Is Greenwich Mean Time adjusted for Daylight Savings Time?

No, it's not. Which is why, even in London which is slap bang on the "zero" line, half the year is spent on British Summer Time which is one hour different.

It's kind of a flaw with vB - you're essentially telling it that you're at GMT -x, when half the year you're not. Central Time, right now, is not GMT -6, despite the fact that vB says it is.

So, in other words - select the time you're actually in, not the one that vB thinks your location should be in right now, because half the year vB will be wrong.

No, it's not. If it was, every other vBulletin board should show this flaw. Mine doesn't, nor do any other boards I know.

I suggest you ask for support on www.vbulletin.com
Even though they use far too much tech talk for the average computer user, they usually DO come up with a solution.
