produce flame with all natural weapons?

Voadam

Legend
I've got a wild shaping druid who casts produce flame while in wildshaped form. Touch attacks can be used in conjunction with unarmed strikes but only go off if the normal strike hits. The druid wants to know if he can use produce flame touch attacks on top of each natural attack he uses in a wildshape or is limited to only one natural attack carrying the spell.

From the description of produce flame it appears in the hand and can be hurled or used to make touch attacks. I'm thinking just the one hand/claw can make fire attacks.

Produce Flame
Evocation [Fire]
Level: Drd 1, Fire 2
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 0 ft.
Effect: Flame in your palm
Duration: 1 min./level (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes

Flames as bright as a torch appear in your open hand. The flames harm neither you nor your equipment.

In addition to providing illumination, the flames can be hurled or used to touch enemies. You can strike an opponent with a melee touch attack, dealing fire damage equal to 1d6 +1 point per caster level (maximum +5). Alternatively, you can hurl the flames up to 120 feet as a thrown weapon. When doing so, you attack with a ranged touch attack (with no range penalty) and deal the same damage as with the melee attack. No sooner do you hurl the flames than a new set appears in your hand. Each attack you make reduces the remaining duration by 1 minute. If an attack reduces the remaining duration to 0 minutes or less, the spell ends after the attack resolves.

This spell does not function underwater.

Unfortunately, produce flame only works on an "Open Hand". This could be interprited (sp?) to mean that you have to actually HAVE a hand to use it. Regardless, it does only say A hand, instead of hands, plural, so it would not count in any event towards all of a druid's natural attacks.

That being said, it would certainly be effective if the form he chose was an ape...

It's not that much of a big deal.

Voadam, you may recall I wanted to veto one of your fellow players who asked to persist it. That was done on technical grounds rather than balance grounds (it isn't a personal spell.)

I would not allow additional touch attacks; I'd just allow the produce flame to add damage to one natural attack.

Actually, spells with a range of touch can be used thusly. Spells with a range of 0 cannot. You cannot combine produce flame with an unarmed attack or natural weapon like you can touch spells (holding the charge). Basically, take that whole section on Touch Spells in Combat and disregard it for produce flame.

On the plus side, that eliminates the restriction on the number of times you can cast it.
