ProFantasy and Code Monkey Team Up

Fargoth

First Post
As posted on the Monkey web site:

Code Monkey Publishing and Profantasy Software Ltd will be working closely together over the next few months to add capabilities to create adventures from within CC2 Pro, using the output from Code Monkey products as a source of linking characters, creature, and treasure information to your CC2 Pro maps.

This feature opens new, exciting possibilities for both player and game master alike. Know where the players are at any moment, see what traps they are about to trigger, what monsters they are about to encounter easily... and with a click of the button, change the map to show the players the 'empty' room or hallways that leads them to certain death, destruction, mayhem, glory and riches! All the good things that we play the game for.

The new features will be included as one element of a major upgrade to CC2 Pro released later in the year.

No one makes a monkey out of ProFantasy.
Simon "Simian" Rogers

Lone "Use the Banana" Jedi
Merton Monk - Epic Level Monk(ey)
Mynex - #1 Evil Monkey

(psst, hey guys, shall we tell him we made him into a monkey?)

Quick question... Does this mean that there will be network support that will, say, allow players to move virtual miniatures around a CC2 map? As a DM who runs a game online, that would make my day.

Note to those who will point out that OpenRPG already does this: I've tried it, and my players' connections drop all the time.

Perhaps eventually, but not this year. This is a pretty preliminary test run on a number of things, but once RPG Toolkit (the rewrite) is done, we will be looking into features along these lines at some point.
