Project Image questions.

Okay, lets say a mage casts project image and is invisible? If he casts attack spells through the image does he become visible? Or is it not considered an attack by him? If he's sitting there casting spells and the mage is peeking out a window 200ft away what can people really do to harm you? Is there any way to kill or get rid of the image besides dispel? If you disbelieve it the spells can still originate from it, so that doesn't help much.

I would say that Invisibility still breaks b/c it is still your spell. The same argument would hold if you cast a Delayed Blast Fireball, delayed it for four rounds and then Teleported away. Your invisibility would still break, as nonsensical as that sounds...

As to killing the image,

The key is to eliminating Line of Effect between the caster and the image, this could be accomplished by:

1. Wall of Force (hemispherical around Image)
2. Forcecage
3. Anti-Magic Field
4. Any other Wall spells, assuming that they are bewteen the Image and caster
5. Otiluke Sphere spells

Hmmmm..... would a well-positioned tower shield block line-of-effect?

I'm pretty sure not. Between it not providing cover against targeted spells (PH p. 106), and any 1 ft. opening in a barrier within a 5 ft. span of space permitting line of effect (PH p. 150), it doesn't seem sufficient.
