Project Phoenix is live!

What happened to the spells?
They're a zip file you can find here (just click on the "Files" button at the bottom of the page). There were far too many to put them all on the site.

Edit: Oh, wait, you mean the legendary spells? Working on that. They're done (been done, really), but I wanted to get v6 so I can properly level the creature-summoning spells. I think I'll just sit down this weekend and hash it all out, and fix things later. Between the ELH spells and my own stuff, I've got something like 150 10th+ level spells.

That's splendid news. Not the waiting, but the use of the IH app. v6. Also, that you have epic all wrapped up. Er, folded in. Whatever. Sounds good. :) 'grats.
Thanks. I've been planning on using v6 since the beginning; I've used v4 and v5 before, and I'm really looking forward to being able to convert PP to an ECL-based system. If only UK would finish the thing... :p

Umm... book form? Probably not. Publishing is a PITA, and I doubt many folks would be interested in something this large that's not 4E, especially since Paizo's got the 3.75 market pretty well locked up. Pdf? Maybe. Problem is, I don't have the ability to create pdfs on my own - I don't have InDesign, Adobe, or any of that. I could provide Word files for anyone interested in doing it on their own, though.

With Pathfinder Beta the way it is, I'm more of a 3E purist. Your system is more what I'd hoped Pathfinder would be. I'd definetely be down with a hardback of your work.

I've added new monster creation guidelines and more user-friendly falling object rules.

I owe credit for both of these to Upper Krust; I incorporated some of his monster creation guidelines into my own rules, and the damage for falling objects into my own system, which I revised to be easier to use (the first version was so arcane that even I had trouble figuring it out, even though I knew it worked).

Kerrick,

Thank you for posting this, and thank you for adding to the OGC rules out there. I'll be going through your rules in the next little bit to see if there are things I want to steal for RCFG.

If you haven't yet done so, check out my Skills & Combat preview on my website (Daniel J. Bishop on the Web, go to the RPG Design page), and steal Combat Advantage and Getting the Drop for your system. That is, if you like them. You might also want to look at the weapon skills system, which started out as a house rule for 3.5, and has served my needs very well.

I can make pdfs for you, btw, and would be happy to do so.

Cool. Someone named Flynn PMed me about a month ago with the same offer; I recently posted some of the Word files for him, but I haven't heard back. You can find them here - just Basics, Equipment, Classes, Exploration, and Skills; the rest of it is misc stuff.

If someone wants to PDF them for you, that's cool - I'm not going to get in their (or your) way. :)

But. . . if you ever feel so inclined, you can pick up something like CutePDF, for free, no hassles/ads/whatever. Just grab the freeware version, install it, and it comes up as another 'printer'. Simply select that 'printer' when printing from, say, Word. It'll create the PDF file for you, with whatever layout, fonts and so on your .doc has. Pretty much an exact copy. Done!

Just thought I'd mention it, as another option.
