Near the end of the D20 book, there were those short little sections on pre-made campaign settings. The Urban Arcana one has recieved most of the attention, but what about the Psi one? Is it just me, or are psychic powers freakin awsome? My group and i have just started the hobby, and any campaign advice, gm tips, or anything helpful and relevant will be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I ran an Agents of PSI game last year, and it was a lot of fun.

My advice is to start out with small episodic missions, things that can be resolved in a session or two. Look at your characters powers and make sure they get a chance to use them every once and a while. Bring back villains, but don’t force it.

Try to think about what you might want to later on and place little hints or clues in the game. If you want to use a politician that’s being controlled by a Puppeteer have him on a news program in the background a session or two before hand. An outline of generally what you want to happen is helpful, for my PSI game I used the structure of a television series (something I stole from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer RPG).

Watch some movie or television shows dealing with spies or read some books about spies. Personally, I watched a lot of Alias when planning my PSI game. You might want to check out the Urban Arcana book (or the sections of the Modern SRD from said book) if you don’t have it, it had some new powers and a new advanced class.
