[PsiHB] Psychic Weapons

Somewhat curious now, reading the Psychic weapon power description.

Is the enhancement bonus listed in the table independant of the weapon's existing enhancement bonus or does it stack?

"The enhancement bonus and special abilities noted below do not stack: A wielder with 15+ power points doesn't also have access to powers revealed at lower reserves."

My first reaction (And personal reaction) is to say no that they do not stack (as it is, the psychic bonus effectively gives a +4 enhancement, and +4 in abilities for a +5 market value cost if you have over 130 power points).

bonuses of like names usually do not stack.

There are only three Exceptions I can think of:

1. all dodge bonuses stack, but magic doesn't award these IIRC

2. enhancement bonuses to a shield AC stack with enhancement bonuses from an armor AC

3. enhancement bonuses to a bow stack with enhancement bonuses bestowed on the ammunition of the bow.

So - My inclinination is to agree and say they don't stack at all.

I'm pretty sure this is OFFICIALLY wrong, but i dont even require the +1 enhancement. A psionic weapon is nothing more than a nice masterwork weapon to a non psychic. Just seems cooler this plain weapon that lights up and kicks but in the hands of a psion.

Otherwise, no they wouldn't stack. They are both enhancement bonii, why would they?

Was mostly the +1 enhancement bonus requirement (and the oddity of an enhancement that grants an enhancement).

That and just how difficult (and pointless) it'd be to try to get a Psychic Weapon that's +5 (course same is true of heavy adamantium armor greater than +3 so suppose that's fair).
