I'd suggest just making the Eldritch Knight into a Psionic version. It's easier due to less unique class features, is open to all instead of just elves and half-elves, and has much better (9/10) casting progression while still retaining full BAB.

I honestly have no idea why anyone would choose Arcane Archer over that anyway.

Arcane Archer should borrow from the magus in terms of how they work, in my opinion. The arrow progression where they get elemental and eventually aligned arrow attacks could be replaced with the magus's ability to infuse magical enhancements with his arcane pool - it'd add flexibility to the class.

Psionic archery (assuming you're using the Dreamscarred Press Pathfinder psionics rules) has the Psionic Shot/Greater Psionic Shot/Fell Shot line. You could expand on those abilities for a psionic archer class. I'd require Psionic Shot as a requirement for any such class, and possibly increase the benefits those feats give.

The ability to deliver spells with arrows is pretty iconic for arcane archers, and should be present somehow. Imbue Arrow from the Arcane Archer sucks for this; some way to deliver touch spells with a ranged attack should probably be included.

You'd have to pare down things from that, but that's where I'd start.

Dreamscarred also did an entire psionic archer class in 3.5, called the Marksman; it was in their first big product (Untapped Potential). Maybe try updating that to PF rules, if you can get it.

Of course, they're doing Psionics Expanded now; maybe there's a new version of the Marksman in that?
