Psionic artifacts

I've got a reference question. What books contain psionic artifacts, or artifacts particularly useful to psionic characters? I have a plot idea for the rather distant future of my campaign, and I need to decide what MacGuffin the players will wind up chasing.

My game is in Eberron, but I don't restrict it only to standard Eberron books. I have access to pretty much any 3.5 sourcebook or rulebook I need, just not all at once. (For instance I recently lent out my XPH and Complete Psionic.)

Well, there's the two major artifacts in the SRD: the Annulus and the Psicrown of the Crystal Mind. The former isn't very useful to a psionic character, unless he's using it to fight another psionic character. The latter is much more attractive to a psionicist.

Beyond those though, there's the Soulblade, from Necromancer Games's Tome of Artifacts book. This artifact is meant for soulknives, being much stronger than a mere mind blade, but it's mightiest power is to (literally) kill everything under the sun. Note that if you go with this, I recommend picking up Dreamscarred Press's High Psionics: Phrenic Scourges, as it goes into the creator race of this artifact, and has several thematic tie-ins, mentioning the artifact several times (also, they're having a 20% off sale now too!).

If you're also looking into older editions, the 2E Book of Artifacts had some (mostly for the darksun setting, iirc).

Then there's the 3E Weapons of Legacy which doesn't actually have any artifacts but some very nice psionic-flavored items with scaling powers that could easily be turned into proper artifacts if you were so inclined.

I always prefer to let the actual artifact examples serve as inspiration, I find the ones included in the books miss my marks with regards to powers, drawbacks, and actual influence. I prefer to have my artifacts so incredibly powerful, and so extremely hazardous, that no one wants to see them used. Sort of like the Tsar Bomba or Project Pluto.

So for instance I've had an artifact (Epic Level) sword in a Mid level (10-15th) game that possessed the soul of an ancient Drow warrior, and slowly converted its owner into a drow. Upon completion of the transformation, the souls switch place, with the ancient drow freed, and the former owner's soul now constrained to the sword.

Another artifact which never appears the same to any two observers, apart from a very generic "about 1 foot high golden statuette". Grants the owner enormous psychic powers, but inflicts all living creatures within a certain radius with permanent madness when held; the possessor is immune, very powerful, but incredibly lonely.

Then there is the stories by Hugh Cook, which have a lot of artifact-inspiring hardware.

There's the 2E accessory "Psionic Artifacts of Athas". The 2E Book of Artifacts probably has one or two. I'm not sure if anyone has updated them to 3E. Try athas.org. www.athas.org has update the Dark Sun campaign setting and rules to 3E. I'm sure there are a few uniqe psionic items in their rules. But the flavor is uniquely tied to Dark Sun most of the times.

The Mind's Eye archive on wizards.com has 2 articles with psionic Weapons of Legacy:
The Mind's Eye: Weapons of Legacy, Part 1
The Mind's Eye: Weapons of Legacy, Part 2
