Psionic Power--Biofeedback Question?

Biofeedback absorbs your strength modifier against each and every attack and turns that damage into subdual damage, correct?

What kind of attakcs are effected by this power? Is it just melee or ranged damage or can it be lightning or fire?

How about negative energy? Or sonic? Or some other unnamed/unmentioned damage?

Any and all types of damage to your hit points. Read the power:

"You take a portion of any attack that does damage

"Thus a character with a Strength score of 14 who is delt 10 points of damage by a power of weapon actually takes 8 points of normal damage and 2 points of subdual damage.

What about negative energy? It doesn't seem like this effects a character the same way as an attack, rather it is a drain of his power...

And if does affect negative energy would this power affect positive energy then like a cure spell?

Edit: Furthermore, what about vile damage that can only be healed in a special area?

The biofeedback works with all damage.

The vile descriptor only applies to the healing of the damage. So the normal and the subdual damage only heal in specific environments.
