Psionic PrCs

Honestly though if you want some good Pr-classes for psionic characters, go with Untapped Potential and Hyperconscious.

There is also the Quori Mindhunter in "Magic of Eberron"

I can also agree with the forementioned "Hyperconscious" and "Untapped Potential" being great resources for PrC's outside the XPH.

Before I continue, I'll echo the previous comments about Hyperconscious- I find it indespensible for Psionics in general- and the Minds Eye stuff. That WotC subsection is worth exploring just for the expansion of the Pyrokinetic PrCl into a suite of PrCls covering each energy type...and there is much more there besides.

At one point, I started a thread that contained all of the WoTC Psionic PrCls that were not in the XPH or Complete Psionic...then came "The Great Kerfluffle" which made a lot of data dissapear- that thread was among the casualties.

While I'm not restarting that here today, I do recall that many post-XPH books would have a hidden psionic PrCl or 2... For instance, there is the Cognition Thief in Forgotten Realms (as I recall)...or perhaps it was in Magic of Faerun.

Also, there seemed to be a trend towards making psionic versions of a lot of the caster PrCls. If you look at the Spellthief, for instance, you'll see a sidebar detailing the Psi-thief. There are also psionic versions of the Mystic Theurge archetype. IMHO, you can probably tweek just about any arcane PrCl into a Psionic one, and most divine ones would probably work as well.

I think Cognition Thief was in Player's Guide to Faerun (in the appendix), but I could be wrong.

Edit: Nope, I'm not wrong, it's in PGtF.

Danny,

I think any Psionic character worth their salt most certainly needs Hyperconscious. It is by far the best way to expand 3.5 Psionic options to date. (Well besides Untapped Potential anyway. ;) )

Bacris,

Thanks for that heads up. I'll be looking for it.

Nightfall, it's due out next month :) And you're welcome. Of course I'm going to advertise a book I co-wrote! I'm just glad everyone likes it!

Bacris,

Well psionics aren't my thing, it's a well written book and that aspect is what draws me into liking it alot. Plus it has some interesting ideas that I don't think anyone (not even Mister psionics himself, Bruce Cordell) has thought of yet. Might not be the most innovative book or even original but it's certainly better done than Complete Psionic. :)

Side note- while it doesn't have any PrCls, there was a recent Dragon (which one escapes me at the moment) that had a slew of feats for Soulknives. Many were similar to and better executed than the ones in Complete Psionic.
