Psionicist Class and D20 modern

Any ideas on balencing the class from the Psionics handbook and the main d20 modern book? I wanted a camaign along the lines of shadowforce archer or Agents of Psi but with more psi powers? I wanted to use some of the concepts in the Psionics handbook too like Psionics items.

Thanks

Hm.. the d20Modern System of basic and advanced classes limits the power of spellcasters/manifesters somewhat, as you cannot make a full-time psionicist withouth messing with the basic classes. My suggestions:

You can (a) create some PrestigeClasses for advanced Manifesters. That way you could have up to 17 levels of psionic goodness (8th-level psionics). Or you can (b) make psionics a general trait of characters, changing the whole system and making it work with skills and/or feats. Or maybe even give every character manifester limited abilities (maybe based on their class, strong heroes will get psymet powers, smart ones metcre etc...), which can be improved with feats and/or advanced (and prestige) classes.

Classically Modern

I've 'modernised' the code D&D classes for integration into D20 Modern, and was toying with the idea of doing the psionic ones when they where officialy released into the SRD (oh look, they just got released). I've got a bit of work to tidy up the core classes first.

If you are using Vitality/Wound points Shadowforce Archer has several psionics base classes. Since they built the system from the ground up it's a better system for modern day psionics as well, not just a (bad) conversion of a system designed for D&D. It's a skill and feat psi system and when you use the skills you spend Vitality, getting exhausted just like Psi in moden/sci-fi setting usually do.

The base classes are Mentalist, Telepath and Physical Adept and like I said it fits a modern setting better than d20 Modern IMO. It was made around the modern paradigm, taking into account such changes as guns, technology, etc. Much superior to a (flawed to begin with) system designed for medieval combat.

for meshing shadowforce with modern, would having the powers do subdual at the same rate and with the same rules be an effective adjustment?
