psychic warrior and (psionic) subtype?

if a 1st level psychic warrior has 0 power points, does it lose out on the psionic subtype, thereby cutting it off from holding a psionic focus/gaining psionic feats?

is there something i'm not seeing here? does having a power, but an inability to manifest it count as having the prerequisites for the subtype?

Having a lv in a psionic class automatically treats you as of the psionic subtype for purposes of qualifying for feats/prcs etc.

I believe you need to have at least 1 PP to maintain your psionic focus though (mentioned somewhere in the XPH).

Why would you build a Psychic Warrior without any Wisdom? That would be like a Wizard with 10 Int. Sure, he can casts Cantrips, but is that reaklly a good idea?

A PW with 12 Wisdom has at least 1 Power point.

The rule is clear. A character need to have either at least 1 point of power point reserve or a psi-like ability. Even other type of psionic characters, like high-level Psions and such, lose the prerequisite for psionic feats and become unable to use those feats when they use up all the power points (assuming they have no psi-like abilities).

This. Spot on.

Yup, like Shin said with one exception. The psywar bonus feat at first level specifically calls out that it can be a psionic feat. So you could take one psi feat but not use it.

No. The rule in EPH P.26 states that "The psychic warrior must still meet all prerequisites for the bonus feat ...". So, if the said psychic warrior does not have at least one point of power point reserve, he cannot choose a psionic feat. It is like a fighter cannot choose Power Attack if he does not have str of 13+

Specific rule reference to clarify:

"Psionic feats are available only to characters and creatures with the ability to manifest powers. (In other words, they either have a power point reserve or have psi-like abilities.)"

So, a maenad psychic warrior with 0 power points works (psi-like ability).

A human psychic warrior with 0 power points does not work.

So, you better have a WIS of 14+ or you can't take Psionic feats until 2nd level.
