Ptolus: Adventures is now available!

Do I understand it right, that this is simply a small part of the book for those who do not plan to buy it in its entirety (or did so already)? As in, if you have the book, you already have everything in this PDF as well?

Thanee - as I understand - yes, but I have printed Ptolus only, so I'm glad to see opinion of someone who has pdf "Adventures".

Jaws - Keep doing your job. Thanks. As I said before, I have any single penny from TFS Ptolus line, so I read your announcments as a fan only. I've introduced Dream Apthecary, Siege Tower, elements of Delvers already in my campaign and I'll introduce a lot more. Strange thing, but I take Ptolus on nearly every game session with me.

hexgrid - a few words about pre-ordained failure in "Shilukar's Lair".
As I said, I DMed this adventure for 5th-level PCs and they win (OK, because of sheer luck, they have a critical hit on EVERY monster in the dungeon).
But a failure in SL is not deadly, because main bad guy don't want to kill anyone.
The failure is excelent way of introducing Castle Shard and one or more recurring villain in your campaign. (It's truth about evry one of all forth adventures in this pdf, because they introduce Balacazars and Helmut Iltenstein too).
Anyway, you're right. Players don't like such solutions, and Monte in DMG describes it as a designers' mistake.

Yes, that's correct. It is basically Chapter 33: Adventures (p. 588 to 617). It also includes the maps that came with the book as handouts (in the envelope). There seem to be a couple of additional player handouts that don't come with the book though (at least, I couldn't find them).

There are a few pages of intro which you won't find in Ptolus - well, I guess you might find some of it in the actual introduction, though I haven't checked - which just sums up what to expect in the pdf, explains how to use it, etc, and tells you a little bit about Ptolus itself.

So, if you own Ptolus, there's pretty much nothing new here for you (other than maybe a few additional handouts). I bought it (the pdf) because I like to be able to scribble notes and highlight key points - not something I want to do in the actual book!

Damn you Jaws. Every time I see one of these posts I keep thinking it is something new for Ptolus that I don't have in the main book. ;) You think I would have learned by now. :o

Keep up the good work.
