Ptolus Counter Collection Cover Posted!

A double pistol. The reduced resolution really messes it up a bit.

Olaf -> You need Counter Collection Digital v.2 2005 Update (the Silver one). That brings your CCDigital up to speed with the current edition of CCDigital. After that, you can look into getting the tie-ins with Expeditious Retreat Press' Monster Geographica series: Murky Depths & Slimy Shores, Ancient Darkness and Untamed Woodlands.

Is there going to be another update again soon? i.e. Shoud I get this update now or wait for the next update?

There won't be a digital update this year.

Possibly next summer, but not until then.

I like the illo, but for everyone's sake I'll say this: You can't judge a cover illustration in a vacuum; you have to see the final cover as a whole to really judge it.

If its a good illo esecially for a cover it should stand on its own before any logos or anything else gets added in. Besides, usually the artist that does the illo just leaves room for all the logos and such. They rarely put together the final cover.

Thanks for the update James. Keep up the good work with the Counter Collection series. I love them and use them in my game every week. There are some cons to using them instead of minis but they are certainly cheaper to make, especially when you need quite a few copies of a "rare" creature. They are also a lot easier to store (just a couple of snap-lock bags) and transport should you need to take the game "on the road" (or to someone else's house!).

Counter Collection: Ptolus is now available!

You can get it here as a PDF: Counter Collection: Ptolus

And here is more news from Fiery Dragon about Ptolus stuff for GenCon:

Queen of Lies has been revised for Ptolus and will be released as a PDF on Ptolus Go Day.

The Ptolus Counter Collection will also come out as a PDF that day. The print version will be released probably right after GenCon (we'll have some copies at the show, but most will hit distributio the week after). The print version will be a limited print run, but should fill orders for everyone who really wants it.

Once the print version sells out, we'll be releasing a digital (jpegs on CD) version of the Ptolus Counter Collection to keep it in the market for the remaining fans who want it or those who prefer the digital products.

We'll have a limited number of POD Queen of Lies for sale at GenCon, and I don't anticipate a new print run on the Ptolus-version unless demand is unusually high.

The Super Deluxe Vinyl maps have, at long last, shipped. They are beautiful. They're much more time consuming to have made than we had anticipated, and MUCH more expensive to ship than we had initially figured (at least from Canada!), but are SO worth it.

The "regular" vinyl city maps will also be coming out after GenCon (although we will have a limited number at the show). They're slow to make as well, and we'll keep releasing them in batches, so they may be out-of-stock for a few weeks every month, but we'll do our best to keep on them and keep them coming.

These products are on a learning curve for us, so we're getting better and appreciate everyone's interest and support. Ed Bourelle has created a thing of beauty with the Ptolus map -- it's not just a piece of fluff for your game, it's a work of art and should be treated as such.

Peace and smiles :)
