Ptolus: Delver's Guild on Gaen and Mirresh

EZBoard seems to be down, so I haven't been able to post this to the Malhavoc message board, but I'm very pleased with this week's Delver's Guild posting.

I understand the idea behind giving non-Lothian gods only a simple mention in the setting book, but it was great to see one of the most prominent other gods fleshed out in more detail. I don't know how realistic such a request is, but I'd love to see the gods who have been used in previous Ptolus campaigns eventually all get a similar one-page treatment like these two got.

(I'd also love to see the Delver's Guild material be made into a book in 2007, possibly with other Ptolus material, like the Blessed Children from the Book of Hallowed Might, added to the mix.)

My plan had been to use the Pelor material in an upcoming Dragon to flesh out Gaen, but I'm glad to get some more flesh for the bones prior to that.

As for other gods: I'd love to see Unnah, Mistress of Blades, get some more info. I've had a soft spot for such divinities since Kelanen was first revealed in Dragon magazine back in the early 1980s. Any of the other more colorful ones, like Tevra, the Old Man, Raddashin's Eye and Watcher of the Skies would also be good. And just because they're so likely to be used, more on the elf and drow gods would also be appreciated. (I used the dwarven pantheon from Races of Stone with the Ptolus names, which overlap to some degree, so I'm covered there.)

Seems to me like Hannan fits more the Pelor slot than Gaen. Gaen is Goddess of Light, Hannan Lord of the Sun, for reference: PT2 p. 35 (69).

I'm not doing a 1:1 substitution, I'm raiding the core stuff for material. If I'm taking stuff from one of the (in theory) more prominent Oerth deities, I'm not giving it to the secondary god of light, I'm giving it to the one who will see more use. Most of the Pelor-related stuff (like spells, PrCs, etc.) fit just fine with light instead of just narrowly being sun.

I understand. That's another way to do it. I'll plunder Pelor's stuff to flesh out Hannan, personally. I wasn't trying to change your mind. :)
