Publisher Appreciation Thread

First Post
Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to say thanks to all the publishers that take the time to come down to EN World and be active members of the community here.

It is always a thrill for me to find actual members of a d20 company post their insights and answer questions regarding their product. It adds that human element. To me, it is akin to meeting the author of a favorite book or the director of a favorite movie.

Thanks for being here, being a member of our community, and being human.

:D

Let me say this to all the publishers who come to these boards: I have not bought 1 WotC books since the switch to 3.5 (I felt no need to make the switch)

OTOH, I am still buying D20 books.

Obviously you guys are doing something right! :)

So, to too all the folks, from a mighty as Green Ronin to as small as Mad Kaiser, and to all those inbetween, many thanks for keeping up the hobby that I have enjoyed for just shy of 30 years.

What he said...

I want to second that opinion. I am really disgusted by all of the fan boyish Morris is right attitude going on right now that I am sick. I want to thank the publishers that have come on this board and told us about products answered questions and so forth. Especially those publishers that came to En World in its time of need and raised or donated money and now to get slapped in the face.

Great Thread!

I really enjoy most of the publishers who show a personal face here, and I think it's great they're here. Wulf Ratbane, Mark CMG (or is it CMG Mark? :)), MEG Hal, Monte (at home, none the less), JGBrowning, ... Some, like Expeditious Retreat Press, even list ENWorld as their official news site in their products!

The same actually goes for the RPG authors we have here. There are way too many to list them all, so let Wil Upchurch who I hope has gained a level in the meantime be the one name that stands for you all (and I could name more, but then risk forgetting some).

Your presence is acknowledged and appreciated.

Now shut up and buy a community supporter account :)

Heck yeah! I thoroughly enjoy having publishers, writers and artists here. Yes, many of you have your own forums and that is great. But I come to EN World because I have a strong feeling of community here. Thank you for being part of it.

Yeah, thanks to the publishers, because some of my best d20 books are from you. I am particularly pleased to have been able to discuss a few things about Grim Tales with Wulf Ratbane, and I am always happy to "see" MEG Hal as I remember him fondly from the old days of the netbook of classes... :)

OK, this was the first thread I read today. First thing I read on EN World actually. You see, I usually hit the messageboards first to see what my *friends* are talking about. I hit the news later in the day. Well, until today when I see a plethora of threads on the news portion of the site that I haven't yet read.

Hey, I just want to let you guys know that I consider some of you to be friends. Mark and Hal, I've exchanged emails with both of you. Heck, I was emailing Mark *last night*. I like what a lot of you have to say and I appreciate your posts. Some of you I might not even recognize as more than just another poster. It is always fun to realize that "this person" wrote "that product".

I'm just rambling now. Hey, I just wanted to post again now that I am beginning to see what the fuss is about. As a fan, I do appreciate the publishers that come through here. And I appreciate you being part of this virtual community.

You can express appreciation to both Morrus and the publishers. It isn't mutually exclusive.

Thanks to the publishers who post on ENWorld.
Thanks to Morrus for ENWorld.
