Pulp RPGs, What is Everyone Playing?

My personal favourite is Broken Compass, but that's sadly out of print (and gone from DriveThruRPG). However, the successor Outgunned Adventure is still actively published and at least fairly close.

I have a large collection or pulp games but I don't think I've played any of them. I'm more likely to crib pulp material for other games/genres. My Star Wars is very pulpy, filled with racing the Empire to ancient Sith temples on remote planets and stuff like that.

However, games I DO want to try:
1. Outgunned/Broken Compass (seems like a blast)
2. Dicey Tales (pretty much what I look for in a rules system)
3. Pulp Cthulhu (Tommy guns vs. Nyarlathotep, let's go!)

Games I don't particularly like:
1. Hollow Earth Expedition (too crunchy with tons of table and modifiers)
2. Indiana Jones the RPG (games based around a single-character IP don't work well for a party-based medium like RPGs).
3. Spirit of the Century (largely replaced by more streamlined and better conceived later FATE games).

I mean, if Modos 2 were actually printed, it would probably be on cheap wood pulp.

These would be my two go-to rules for pulp (adventure) RPGs.

I have also heard good things about Troubleshooters, which is more akin to Euro comic pulp (e.g., Tintin).

I love what I've seen of Savage Worlds Adventure Edition, but can't seem to get my gaming group to bite, so I'm working on some house-rules to make a skill-based, pulpy d20 game.

If it comes together, it should feel like the strange lovechild of SWADE, Shadowdark, & Knave.

I'd be happy to share what I make once it's a bit less of a pamphlet.
