Well I trucked out opening night to see it, and really enjoyed it.
Seeing Punisher's whole family, father, mother, wife, child, gunned down was really effective.
Frank is portrayed as very military, with Desert Storm experience as well as DEA law enforcement training.
The movie is violent, very funny, and Frank's darkness very well portrayed.
The movie also has a lot of comics nods, including Joan the Mouse, Spacker Dave, Bumpo, Harry Heck, and the Russian coming straight out of Garth Ennis' classic "Welcome Back Frank" 12 issue mini-series.
The movie has a lot of violence, as you might expect, but Frank definitely takes to his task with a grim determination and a military-mindset.
