(pure) scout builds

The deadly precision gives you +2d6 sneak dice if you have sneak attack. Ask your GM if you can apply this to skirmish.

Deadly Precision for the XPH just grants rerolls.
Deadly Precision [General]
You empty your mind of all distracting emotion, becoming an instrument of deadly precision.

Prerequisite
Dex 15, base attack bonus +5.

Benefit
You have deadly accuracy with your sneak attacks. You can reroll any result of 1 on your sneak attack’s extra damage dice. You must keep the result of the reroll, even if it is another 1.
I'm not sure if there's a feat that just gives you +2d6 sneak attack. Let me scour the intertubes a bit and get back to you.

What level character are you looking to build?

If you're starting at a level that can afford the gold, find a way to grant yourself flying, and get the flyby attack feat. This would allow you to move, attack, and end your movement behind cover.

Starting at level 1 and no clue how long we'll be playing for. I'm mostly looking to have at least the biggest part of it planned out so I don't end up with useless stuff. :D

Mind you, I'm not a powergamer in any way or form.

In my experience, the 30' restriction on ranged skirmish means you get too close to melee range to be comfertable. The crossbow sniper feat from player hanbook 2 should help with that.

There's also a feat in Dragon 346 that allows for a Scout to skirmish up to 60 feet with any weapon, but that's it. No damage bonus from Dex, etc. It requires Dex 15, Wis 13, Far Shot, Point Blank Shot, and skirmish.

Hopefully not too off-topic but in my campaign the most powerful character ever created is a scout. Not a pure scout-built though: Scout 9/Barbarian 1.
So far we have played 70 sessions. Scout has power - respect and love it :)
