C'mon, peole!

Andy Collins showed us the Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Monk and Sorceror. Here we got a Ninja and an Arcane Smith. Let's see more.

Can you give me a link to this or tell me where it is? I've had a bit of a look around but no luck.
thanks

Make a wizard.
Multiclassing into Warlock allow you to get powers like Iron Spike of Dis (impaling spike burst up from the ground), Thirsting Maw (you summon a vampire that drinks the victim's blood) and take the Paragon Path Life-Stealer.

Unfortunately, when you multi into a warlock, you don't get a curse. So the cast majority of the Life-Stealers powers are absolutely useless. If you want to be a Life-Stealer, you'll have to be a true-blue Warlock. It sucks, I wanted to make me a death knight using that PP :(

Rules tweak: instead of an at-will invocation as an encounter power, get Warlock Curse 1/encounter.

I'd like to make a paladin, but not sure how with what powers are available now. How would you get protection from evil, detect evil, disease immunity, cure disease and a mount? Turn undead is obvious as a multi-class into cleric, better yet maybe start with cleric as the class. The mid-level spells are pretty much right out aside from the cure spells, which again would make cleric a better choice, so would cure disease ritual.
You won't get a summonable mount, buy you can buy a warhorse, and later on befriend a Celestial Charger (an uber-horse).

Detect Evil -> Training + Skill Focus on Insight, and try to determine the alignment of someone based on interaction.

Protection from Evil -> Shield of Faith and other protective prayers, Iron Will to boost your Will defense and powers and feats that help saving throws.

This all points to Cleric.

I want a bastard sword rogue (trenchcoat, big-sword guy focused on mobility & deception), but can't decide how to best work that. There are a few options:

1) Re-skinned rapier. Boring (not to mention actual Bastard Sword has different stats. Cognitive dissonance anyone?)

2) Heroic tier feat (treat Bastard Sword as a light weapon for the purposes of using feats, class abilities and powers). Since you need a feat for Bastard Sword in the first place, effectively you spend two feats to raise your damage die two steps. Available at level one. Compares to Raper Proficiency or Backstabber.

3) Paragon-tier feat. Same as above, but not available until mid-game, possibly better balanced, but when you construct your character concept around a weapon it sucks to wait ten levels before you can get any use out of it.

4) Rogue Paragon Path. Potentially awesome, compares to Wizard of the Spiral Tower, can create unique powers around the concept. Call it the Reaper and strike terror into the hearts of your foes. Same problem as 3) though.

5) Epic-tier feat. Can use all heavy blades as light blades.

Personally, I like combining 2 and 4. I don't find an average +2 per [W] to be all that unbalancing in exchange for two feats, though some people might, and there could be issues I'm not seeing.

Other opton would be elf or eladrin (inherrently mobile) fighter or warlord (comes with the big sword profs and powers that will use them; warlords also are very based on moving things around) with hide armor, high dex or int (int if you go warlord, certainly), and some multiclass feats or skill training in non-class skills like bluff, thievery, and stealth.

A new "Converting your character" article is up at wizards.com, detailing the Complete Warrior classes:

Swashbuckler - Trickster Rogue, or Two-Weapon Ranger if you're inclined to rapiere/main-gauche

Samurai - Defender Fighter, asking your DM for permission to use your off-hand weapon as a shield for power purposes; or a Great Weapon Fighter, describing your greatsword as a katana. A third option is the ever-popular Two-Weapon Ranger for katana/wakizachi image.

Hexblade - Great Weapon Fighter ("Combat Challenge" becomes "Hexblade's Challenge") with multiclass Warlock. Alternatively, Scourge Warlock with Fighter Multiclassing and Armor feats.

Druidic Priest (not the shapechanging type, but a nature cleric)

Changes to the base class, Cleric:
- No proficiency with chainmail (-1 feat)
- Gain Nature as a trained skill in addition to normal Cleric skills (+1 feat)
- Cannot use Turn Undead; instead gain Melora's Tide (p. 199)
- Many of the Cleric's offensive powers might make more sense if you convert the damage to cold or thunder, which IMO are more "natural"

One of the biggest problems with this variant is that you don't get AC from anywhere, so you may need to get a decent Dex. If you multiclass into Ranger you can take Stealth, which sorta mimics 3e:s Woodland Stride and Trackless Step, and works well with a high Dex. You're probably best off as an Elf, which gives you proficiency with the longbow, and so this is a good match with any "Lazer Cleric" build. Elf also gives bonuses to Nature and Perception.

Most of the druidic flavor will probably come from ritual spells, though.
