I doubt the end of Buffy will be a "feel-good" moment. Joss is notoriously dark. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he killed her off, and a few other characters as well...Spike comes to mind.

I just read the interview in Entertainment. It appears that a new show based on the buffyverse will be peddled to UPN. Gellar has said she has offered to make guest appearances, assuming her character lives through the season. A new show WILL NOT be based around faith as the actress has already signed for another show.

Also, Angel may or may not have its contract renewed on the WB. I hope Angel is still on the air after this season. I think recently it has eclipsed buffy.

Oh, and Angel will likely be in the last episode of Buffy.

I never doubted that Angel wouldn't be on the last buffy. It makes sense.

Bill Cosby couldn't do it. Kirstie Alley couldn't do it. Three new shows starred Seinfeld alumni, all failing.

IIRC, Bill Cosby's show was fairly successful. Funny too. Would have been better without Phylisha Rashad (sp?), but it had Madelaine Kahn and Doug e Fresh. Kirstie Alley couldn't do it because she isn't very good (IMO. I can't stand the woman and I hate the stupid commercials of hers). The woman from Seinfeld has a show that is supposed to be coming back, so it might take off, we don't know yet. I like to think that the general failure of Seinfeld's stars prooves my point that they just weren't funny and JS carried them all.

I guess Cosby was more successful than I thought, in that it somehow lasted 4 seasons (but nowhere near as successful as its predecessor).

As for Seinfeld, I'd attribute at least half its success to co-creator Larry David, who's the creative force behind Curb Your Enthusiasm. And I think Michael Richards (Kramer) might still make a comeback.
