Putting together a monster book

Hey gang, some of us are putting together a monster book and wanted to know how all of you guys distribute stuff. We're in the western US (California, specifically). Also, how many copies of a given book do you guys tend to sell? How long does it take?

We plan on sending out some advance copies to reviewers, game shops, etc... also we'll probably post some examples on a website... any particular advice?

edit: sorry, you actually want to print and distribute.

RPGNow and ENWorld are both planning to release a book (or separate books, I'm not sure which) on how to become a d20 publisher. They should be out in a month or two.

As for your question: You might want to contact GAMA for industry info about distributors. They seem to have a brochure.

I think Mystic eye recently offered to open their presses to help get people on the ground with new product. Layout to printing etc. They prolly have a good take on what it takes to hit the ol distribution chain as well.

Thanks for the pointers- we've got everything taken care of except the distribution end at this point...
