Never got into Dark Sun but you may want to break the chart down to seasonal. How you define seasonal is up to you but would look at The Season of Wind, Fire, Earth and Water (arrange to your choice).
Durring the Wind, you have migrations of animals, sand storms; it is the season of change. Ruins may become exposed, cities may disappear.
Water, the rainy season. Storms, flash floods, mud slides and mud fields that become quicksand. The rush to save every drop and to see it disappear into the dry ground. Taking from places in real life, this period may only be a week or two long!
Earth, things start to settle.
Season of fire, things get hot, even for Dark Sun, fire elementals are popping up here and there. Fire geysers shoot flames into the air, metors fall from the sky.
