What kind of strange distribution system.....

Grrrrrr......how is it people in Sweden have Queen of Lies, when my LGS here in Waterloo, Ontario (just over an hour away from Fiery Dragon headquarters) doesn't have it yet?

Do the Toronto stores have it, at least?

Grrrrrr......Arrrrrrgggggg.

What level party is the adventure aimed at?

(Inquiring minds who are roughly plotting out the future of their campaign, so as to tie a bunch of things together, want to know. :) )

It's for 11th-level characters.

But, it's written by Monte Cook, so they've got to be sharp characters, 'cause he is a no-holds-barred kinda guy. If your players don't break out into airtight tactics, it's easily playable at a higher level without too much alteration.

Haven't seen it around here yet....

Acmite - if you don't see it in the next week, let me know. I'll drive one out to your house! :) (Where do you live in Waterloo? I might get lost - I only know the area immediately around WLU - and I doubt I'd recognize that anymore - and the kitchen at Morty's)

I generally agree that you shouldn't assume to much when it comes to adventure motivations. However, in this case, my players would so be there. My players have developed a deep and abiding hatred for Drow.

Hear hear! Although our in-character motivations are nothing more than the fact that we met one in Forge of Fury and she had the audacity to get away...

If your players need any further justification than the simple fact that it's drow, I'd say you're way too deep into the old roleplaying. Sometimes simple motivations are best and I can't think of any heroic role, no matter how complicated and "in character," that would let a bunch of dirty drow go free.

I've got it down here in Texas. So far it looks very, very good. But I expect no less than that from Monte. Yes I am a fanboy :(

Airtight tactics, I'm not so sure about -- they're pretty good, I think, but it's really kind of tough to say without a good comparison. In any case, they do have numbers (4 PCs, a couple of cohorts, and a few ex-PCs) to make up for it. They're a veritable mob. :)

In any case, as soon as the owners of my F(Semi)LGS get back from GAMA & reopen from remodeling, I'll be picking it up.

Thanks for the info!

You talkin' about me?

That would be thanks to Michael Johnstone (FDP-Mike, Ph.D. ;) ), Monte's very capable editor...

Aw, shucks, ya didn' arf ta go an say dat, now, did ya!

Yet, honestly, Monte can spell . . . and type . . . well, that sort of stuff, you know.

;)

BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

[/echoing, ominous, god-like laugh slowly fades away . . .]

See, I knew getting a Ph.D. would mean something eventually! I just knew it!

:D

Thanks, Frostmarrow, for posting a review so quickly. Queen of Lies definitely rocks! Monte + dark elves = dead PCs strewn all about the Netherdeep. Whoo hoo!

Okay, I really should go to bed now . . . .

I'm about a block and a half away from Morty's, right beside the Fast Eddie's and Swiss Chalet on Weber.

I'm hoping it will come in soon.......I'd hate to make you drive all that way! ;)
