question about attacks and Metamorphosis

If a 7th level psion manifests Metamorphosis on himself to turn into a 7 headed hydra how many attacks per round would her get? Does he attack as he normally would or does he gain the benefit of the extra heads of the hydra. What BAB does he use, his own or the hydras?

In response to the OP's question:

You acquire the physical qualities of the new form while retaining your own mind. Physical qualities include natural size, mundane movement capabilities (such as burrowing, climbing, walking, swimming, and flight with wings, to a maximum speed of 120 feet for flying or 60 feet for nonflying movement), natural armor bonus, natural weapons (such as claws or a bite), racial bonuses on skill checks, racial bonus feats, and any anatomical qualities (presence or absence of wings, number of extremities, and so forth). A body with extra limbs does not allow you to make more attacks (or more advantageous two-weapon attacks) than normal.

Read literally, this would not allow you to get extra attacks from wings (which are limbs) if you morphed into a dragon, but it would allow an extra attack from a tail (which is not a limb) and extra Hydra Heads (which also are not limbs).

However, I think the intent was to limit attacks to Claw/Claw/Bite. With this interpretation, one head of the Hydra could be used, but not the others. If this prevents a Metamorphed character from getting extra Claw attacks from a Girallon, it should also do the same for Bite attacks from a Hydra. YMMV.
