Question about Concentration-Duration

HiHo!

I used some Image Spells and wondered what you can and cannot do when you Concentrate on your spell (like Talk, Run, ...)?

as long as you do a standard action to concentrate, you can use your move-equivalent for what ever you want to do in a move-equivalent. Talking is a free action, but their is a limit on what can be said.

Which means, BTW, that you can't run, since that's a full-round action. All you can do is move your speed, and that would be the only action (other than free actions) you can do that round.

Also note, if you do ANYthing else that requires a standard or partial action -- even if it's an EXTRA partial action form haste! -- you lose concentration.

Sounds to me like you may want to pick up the spell "Sonorous Hum" (from Savage Species; Sor/Wiz 2; [sonic]; 1 minute/level duration, the very next (concentration) spell you cast, the Sonorous Hum takes over for you, leaving you free to cast other spells ...).

All I see is :
1/ Standard action each round to maintain concentration, and
2/ No spellcasting.

Plus the need for Concentration checks in the event of disruptive actions like galloping.
