Question about Earthfall Totem.

First Post
So I am playing a level 9 Druid in my current campaign and I used the Druid Daily Power, Lightning Arc which targets 2 creatures and deals lightning damage to them, and then centers an area burst 1 on each target. The creatures in the area burst 1 are able to be knocked prone if they are hit. My question is since the Earthfall Totem deals 1d6 damage if a target is pushed, slid, or knocked prone does that mean those targets that are knocked prone take the extra damage?

Thanks,

Yep. It's a primal attack power that you're using through the totem and it's knocking a creature prone. Therefore, it deals the extra 1d6 damage to the creatures that were knocked prone.

Earthfall Totem does "extra damage". So you can only deal this extra damage to someone who you knocked prone, and damaged, with a primal power.
It is the same as not being able to add "Critical Hit" damage to a power that doesn't deal damage - or to add Quarry or Curse or Sneak Attack damage if a power doesn't do damage.

I assumed that you needed to actually deal damage to the target to get the extra damage. My party members thought I was trying to sabotage them by not dealing the extra d6. My DM was confused that I wasn't trying to deal the most damage. Thanks for the clarification.
