Question about Elusive Target

I'm building a rogue and I have a question about Elusive Target...

The Diverting Defense ability states that "To use this maneuver, you must be flanked..."

How does that interact with having Improved Uncanny Dodge? Can you still use Diverting Defense if you are being flanked even though your opponents don't get any bonuses from flanking you?

You cannot be flanked if you have improved uncanny dodge except by a rogue 4 levels higher. So technically, that part of the feat would not work. However, it would probably be reasonable to allow it to work anyway. If anything, if you forgo the benefit of IUD for that round (which I think you should be able to do with most abilities of this nature), then you could be flanked.

Since you cannot be flanked, I'd say you definitely can't use the ability, by RAW. Since that part of Elusive Target without houseruling the weird wording is far too powerful anyway (change it to say that if they miss you, they may hit the ally, rather than the current way where they automatically miss you, and it's fine), I have no qualms against disallowing it when you can't be flanked.
