Question about Spring Attack

I'm sure this question has been asked, but I've not been able to find it.

For the question, assume a character with 30' movement and only one opponent. With Spring Attack, can you:

A.) Move 20' through several threatened areas, attack, then move 10' back, without suffering AoO?

B.) Move 30' through several threatened areas then attack, without suffering AoO?

C.) Attack, then move 30' through several threatened areas without suffering AoO?

Spring Attack lets you move, attack and move. Either the first or second "move" bits (or both) are optional. The total distance moved cannot exceed your speed, which is usually 30' for humans or 20' if you're in encumbered.

Spring Attack lets you ignore AoOs due to movement _from the defender_, regardless of how many threatened squares you move through. If there are any _other_ people who are in a position to take a swing at you, they can do so (but at a -4 penalty, because you will have Mobility as a prereq for SA).

Let me give you the prevailing opinions on Spring Attack.

Most folks agree with the Sage that you need only move once and you can avoid AoOs from movement (from that one opponent, of course).

Others think the phrase:
Moving in this way does not provoke an attack of opportunity...
can only mean you have to move both before and after the attack to get any benefit from this feat.

You have to decide for yourself (or your DM does, if you are a player) which way you play it in your game.

Thanks for the quick response, guys. We've been playing it such that the answer to A, B, and C is "Yes," but I wasn't sure if there was official clarification for the rule. I'm just glad to know we haven't been misinterpreting the feat.
